Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Well it's that time of the year...the air is cooler and the leaves are changing colors!! We recently went to the Fall Festival in downtown Crestview with our friends Den and Lori and their two adorable kids, Bryce and Blake! We had a great time "people watching". There sure are some entertaining people out there!! We really enjoyed seeing everyone in their Halloween costumes and seeing all the puppies in their's also (pictures to follow). We didn't take our babies because we thought it would be too much of a hassle between three dogs, two kids, and a gazillion people! We were right! So, like I said we went with our friends Den and Lori and their two kids...here are their Halloween costumes! Bryce was "Jeter" from the Yankees and Blake was Superman!!! Here are a few pictures...

Then of course we had to dress up our puppies in Halloween costumes and get some cute pictures...Max was a "Doggie Pimp" and a "Police Pup", Molly was "Dogula" and a "Dog Fighter", and Ace was "Cam Newton"! We had fun dressing them up, not that they enjoyed it!

Then on Halloween night, Chase had been talking about wanting to scare the trick-or-treater's some how. We have a really big Oak Tree that has moss hanging from it in our front yard (that is a picture of it below), so Chase threw a rope over one of the limbs, hung the "Scream" mask and costume on a hanger and sat inside one of our guest bedrooms with the other end of the rope. As the trick-or-treater's came up to the house, I would hand out the candy and they would turn around and that Scream costume was hanging right in front of them. It scared most of the kids and some of the adults too!! There was this one little girl that was the highlight of the night. She came up and got her candy, turned around and saw that thing, screamed bloody murder, and ran to the middle of our yard and started crying! It was so hiliarious! We have laughed and laughed about that!! Her parents were standing at the street dying laughing too!! That one reaction was worth it all!!

We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and has a Happy Thanksgiving! Talk to you soon!!

Love,

Chase and Kim

A New Day

I know it has been more than a month since my last post, but things have been crazy and well, I have kind of been avoiding it to be quite honest!! As many of you already know, it is with a sad heart that I tell you that I had a miscarraige and we lost the baby. We were very shocked and sad about the news, however we know that God has a plan for us and that this happened for a reason. There is no doubt in our mind that God will bless us with a baby when the time is right, not only for us, but for him too! We sincerely appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. I know that helped us get through this very hard time in our lives. We had such amazing support from our wonderful family and friends! We love you all so much!!

So, I will try to continue to update the blog more often. I wanted to show everyone the hard work that Chase put into installing our new wood floors. They are absolutely beautiful!! Here are a few pictures of our bedroom and our living room.

We have also been busy getting ready for fall. Our friends Jamie and Alisha had a "Pumpkin Carving Party". All of the neighbors and some of Alisha's other friends brought a pumpkin and well, we carved them! It was a lot of fun! Here are our results!!

We have also kept busy the past month or so keeping up and watching our Auburn Tigers WIN, WIN, WIN!!! We are so excited that Auburn has been having such a great season and playing so good!! It has been so much fun to watch and cheer for them!! War Eagle!!!! So, that is all we have been up to for the most part....Oh, I wanted to share some really cute pictures of our puppies....Sweet Molly, Ace and Max stealing the doggie treats, and Ace sporting some socks!! That's all for now, Happy Halloween everyone and catch you next time!! :) Love, Chase and Kim

Our Little Nugget!!

We had our first doctor's appointment on September 20, 2010! It seemed like forever until we would get to that day, but we made it!!! The ultrasound tech gave me my first ultrasound and we got to see the baby's home for the next 8 months! Unfortunately she couldn't get a heartbeat, so we have to go back on October 6 to hear the heart beat.
I know it is kind of hard to see the image, but you can see where the arrow is pointing. She told me also that I was more like 5 weeks pregnant than 6 weeks. She told me it was going to be a LONG pregnancy. So once we got there and after we had the ultrasound, we had to go back in the waiting room to wait to see the doctor. Once she FINALLY came in she was sitting there talking to us, looking at the ultrasound picture and asking some questions and we were answering, however I noticed she wasn't really paying much attention to us!! So she got up and said "I need to ask the nurse about something" and left the room. Not knowing what she was refering to me and Chase kinda just looked at each other like "What is wrong"? She came back in the room and said, "I thought I saw TWO sacs on the ultrasound, but the nurse told me it wasn't"!! If you look closely it does look like two and everyone that looks at the picture says "Are there two"?? I guess we will find out more information once we can hear the heart beat in two weeks!! It would be very exciting though if there were two little nuggets in there!!! I am trying not to get my hopes up though! Which brings me to our debate! The doctor we visited yesterday was Dr. Cooley in FWB. We really liked her and her office, however she only delivers at FWB Medical Center and I am not sure that's where I want to deliver because I have heard some horror stories about some deliveries there.....so that being said, we have another appointment with a new doctor, Dr. Graham, on October 5. Dr. Graham's office is located in Destin at Sacred Heart Medical Center! This is where I want to deliver!! Another issue is that Dr. Cooley has her own 4D ultrasound machine in her office and I'm not sure if Dr. Graham does!! This probably shouldn't be such a big deal, but I want to feel comfortable and not stress out (like what I'm doing now)!! We will just visit Dr. Graham on October 5 and if we like her we will cancel our appointment on October 6 with Dr. Cooley! I decided I want to take some pictures periodically of myself so we can document my growth! Here is our 5 1/2 week picture!! We will keep you updated and let you know how the next visit goes!!

Guess What.......

We're gonna have a baby!!

We found out I was pregnant on Sunday, September 5, 2010 and had to keep it a secret until we could tell our parents in person!! So FINALLY we got to tell them that Friday!! It was all we could do to keep it in! We pretty much tried to avoid everyone for the entire week so we wouldn't slip up! We met my parents in Enterprise, AL at Old Mexico for dinner Friday and tried to play it cool until we decided to tell them!! It just happened to be Grandparent's weekend and so we bought Grandparent's Day cards, a bib, and put a picture of 3 of my 4 pregnancy tests in the bag. We couldn't find any bibs that said "I Love My Grandpa", only bibs that said "I Love Grandma", so we had to use a Sharpie marker to insert it ourself!! Of course they were so thrilled!!!
We had already made plans to go to New Orleans with Chase's parents to watch "Uncle Chandler" play football (Tulane vs. Ole Miss). So after we left Enterprise we drove to Gulf Shores and spilled the beans again! Chase's parents were just as excited as mine were!! We had planned on not telling anyone else until my first doctor's appointment on September 20th...we should have known that wasn't going to last! We ended up telling EVERYONE the next day, which was fine...it felt good to tell all of our friends and family about our addition to our family!! I found out some more good news Saturday also, but I will keep that hush hush for now!! So far I haven't had too many pregnancy symptoms. I have just been really tired and Chase said a little moody! :) I am naturally a pretty tired person, but I definitely feel more exhausted then normal!! We plan on updating our blog pretty often so all of our friends and family can keep up with my pregnancy as they wish. As excited as we are, we wish so badly that my Nanny was here to share this amazing news with us. She would have been SO excited to be a Great Grandmother!! In my heart I know she knows and is already watching over this precious baby. We are so excited and feel so extremely blessed to be adding a member to our family. We can't wait to hear the heart beat!
